How did you become involved with the CFK Foundation?

 Through the Kennedy family. I graduated from McQuaid with Richard in 2004.

What is it that motivates you to give back to your community?

I enjoy the positive individual and collective change that I have seen come in part through the hard work of small, community-based organizations like CFK.

What brings you gratitude in life?

Time with family and friends. My fiancé Elsa and our black lab Louie.

How do you define success?

An in-ground pool.

Why is it important to you to give back?

I was very fortunate to have several great coaches, mentors and positive role models throughout my youth. Most of those individuals were volunteering their time and expected nothing in return for the countless hours (and often dollars) they spent helping and encouraging those they mentored. 

How do you prepare yourself to overcome hurdles professionally & personally?

I have learned that just getting out there and trying something is often the most difficult step to working toward a goal or idea. Once you get over that initial hurdle and motivate yourself to get started, then even if you ultimately fail to achieve what you set out to do in the beginning, you will have made yourself and others you met on your journey more enriched through the experience alone.

What does the next 5 years for the CFK Foundation look like?

Continuing to expand our reach and impact in a variety of areas, including growing the number of scholarships that we award each year.
