  • Favorite color: Blue.

  • Favorite food: It is always changing, but something Mexican or Italian is always at the top of the list.

  • Favorite Sport: Hockey.

  • Vacation Spot: Beach or Mountains? It was the mountains, but my kids have shifted me to the beach.

How did you become involved with the CFK Foundation?

As one of Colin’s brothers, it was only natural that I would be involved, but beyond that it was impossible to not want to be involved when Bill Kaser pitched the idea of the Foundation and the mission the Foundation would pursue.

What is it that motivates you to give back to your community?

Seeing the profound impact that even little things can have on those who benefit when you give back.

What challenges do you see for our future generations?

Unfortunately, the list is growing as we are being confronted with significant environmental, social and political issues.

What brings you gratitude in life?

Helping others.

How do you define success?

Progress – even the smallest amount helps move you forward.

Why is it important to you to give back?

Everyone deserves the chance to have a better life, but not everyone is afforded the same opportunities, so we need to do our part to help provide more opportunities.

What does “community” mean to you?

The sense of pride and togetherness you feel relative to where you live and work.

Who inspires you?

I am in awe of the countless individuals, often behind the scenes, whose first thought and action is always for the benefit of others in their community.

How do you prepare yourself to overcome hurdles professionally & personally?

It is important to realize that there is often more than one way to solve a problem and many others have had the same problem before you, so having a strong personal and professional network you are not afraid to rely on is a must.

If you had all the money in the world, what would you do with it?

Endow schools and other community organizations to benefit the underserved.

What does the next 5 years for the CFK Foundation look like?

It will be an exciting time. We have just begun to hit our stride over the last year and the organization is really gelling under the great leadership of Nick Lippa. Our reach and impact is growing and I would only expect that to continue over time.
